Stellan Skarsgård might appear in next Avengers film; not Thor: Ragnarok
Stellan Skarsgård has been a regular fixture throughout Marvel’s Thor films; recently turning up in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Thor: The Dark World, Avengers and Thor. Now though it appears with one movie left on his contract; the actor won’t be appearing in the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok.
Speaking to Den of Geek during the press tour for his upcoming appearance in Jon le Carre’s adaptation of Our Kind of Traitor, the actor discussed his commitments to future Marvel Studio movies, staging;
“I have a five-film deal with them, and they still have one option…Thor 3 is not on my slate but maybe the next Avengers.”
Recent rumours haves stated that the upcoming Thor film will barely feature on Earth; instead heading to the stars. Thor and Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk will be the stars; neither of whom are slated to appear in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War movie. Selvig had a bigger part in Age of Ultron but fell victim to the cutting room floor.
Joe and Anthony Russo’s Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 is set to hit UK cinemas on 27th April 2018.
