ScreenCritics has been around for less than a month now and we’ve found ourselves wanting to cover all kinds of things as they arise. We’ve noticed however that when it comes to sports, we’ve left ourselves in a slightly awkward spot – it’s neither TV news nor is it always wrestling (as we’ve been labelling MMA news). The simple fact is that in order to make it easier for us to give you the news in the quickest way – we’ve decided to flip the switch and bring sports into the mix.

But before you panic and think “Well this is going to turn into Sky Sports News” fear not. We’re only covering stories we feel fit the remit of the website – namely sports stories that have a general appeal. So if a mega star does something silly on their way to Tesco, we’ll talk about it. Messi scoring a hat-trick on a Sunday? Not our thing. It grants us a bit more freedom to keep the wrestling news for wrestling and keep the sports out of the TV section. In short it makes things a bit more organised.

In other news (as you may have noticed from our Twitter feed) that we have a new reviews writer. Adam Allcroft j0ins us and will be doing movie reviews for the site going forward.
